Farmers' suicide continue, politicians play blame game

I can safely say today, India, however not long ago, was a quite self-dependent, agricultural country but today this golden phrase that offered us a great pride can not be digested at all because India has lost its worth in agricultural sector. In my opinion the leaders of this country are the ones to be blamed for what farming community is going through. 

Though, there are multiple factors like corruption, hoarding, droughts, development at the cost of rich farming lands, unpaid bank loans, lack of infrastructure, lack of rains, lack of responsibility as to why farmers are committing suicides in almost every State of India but this agrarian malady could have been contained effectively if only Indian leaders had taken certain result-oriented steps to support Indian farmers. We may have boosted multiple other industries on our soil but sorry to say we have paid no heed to this community that has suffered a lot over the years.

India can grow at rapid speed again the way it did in the times of green revolution, a golden period when it increased its yields on our land if only Indian government focuses on the grievances of Indian farmers. All they need is certain incentives to motivate them to pull themselves again from the crisis they are in.

नेता देश में ऐश करता है
उसका बेटा विदेश में।।
