Navjot has always been admired by Indians for his straight forwardness and upright character. We are aware that Navjot had been given a raw deal in BJP. He said he saw no growth being in Bhartiya Janta Party therefore he decided to leave it but he would settle for Congress is something I personally never expected at least. Navjot Singh Sidhu known for his oratorical skills and witty quotes settles for Congress, a political party that has lost its face in the country.
Nevertheless, post 2014 defeat, Rahul Gandhi is doing his best and leaving no stone unturned to revive his party's reputation. Navjot would certainly have been better off with BJP and even better with Aam Aadmi Party. His IQ seems to have fallen too low it seems since he has opted to defect to Congress. He had better options but reasons unknown to us he surprisingly envisions better prospect in Congress. He may have scored better as a cricketer or commentator but he has failed miserably in political IQ test.
This decision may turn out to be the cause of his regret later. The Congress is certainly not a political party where a politician of his stature should take shelter in. It would bring a grand surprise to me if Navjot is able to save his seat in upcoming election being in Congress. Was it a political greed for higher post that put him into a tight spot that he couldn't find suitable place for him?
