MOST BELOVED AMMA LEAVES TAMILNADU CRYING BEHIND...

Chief Minister of Tamilnadu breathed last on Monday night. She had to go through fighting a tenacious battle for her life for 75 days at Apollo Hospitalas long enough as she had struggled through her iconic journey from film starlet to a political leader of the State. Known for her outstanding dancing skills, she was celebrated as most prolific actress and had acted in Tamil, Telgu, kannada and Hindi movies 1961 to 1980. She had a great career as an actress was termed as QUEEN OF TAMIL CINEMA.

She had worked with actor-turned-politician, M.G. Ramachandran (MGR) who is believed to have introduced her to politics but this claim had been refuted by her. After the death of MGR, Jayalalithaa had declared herself his political heir. later she became second female chief minister of Tamilnadu after Janaki Ramachandran who had left her first husband and married co-actor MGR in 1963. She was so famous as a leading actress that she is believed to be taking double the amount of what MGR got in her prime days of her career. After the death of MGR, the party was divided in two segments. one that was supporting Janaki and the other one supported Jayalalitha. Eventually Jayalalithaa was able to lead the party and become chief Minister after Janaki's short stint.

It can not be forgotten that Jayahad a huge blot on her political career too with a raid on her residence, she was implicated in a corruption case and was subsequently disqualified from holding her office and convicted in disproportionate asset case on 27th September, 2014 but Karnataka High Court acquitted her later.
